Andrew was born and raised in Irmo, South Carolina, where he attended Dutch Fork High School. In high school, Andrew was a member of the football team while also being involved in the school’s visual arts program.

After high school, Andrew attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics with a Minor in Studio Art in 2019. Throughout his years as a student, Andrew was part of the Orientation Staff, where he assisted incoming freshmen students in adjusting to a new phase of life away from home. He was selected as a William Light Kinney Scholarship Recipient in 2017 and a D. Mark Anderson Award Recipient in 2019. Upon graduation, he received the Heart of the Terrier Award, which is given to students who have made a positive and measurable difference on the campus and excelled in scholarship, leadership, campus citizenship, and service. Also, Andrew is a member of Wofford’s Senior Order of the Gnomes, which was established as an organization of senior students who promote high moral character and goals throughout the entire student body, especially in the underclassmen.

Andrew then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law and Darla Moore School of Business, where he earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees in 2022. While in law school, Andrew was a member of the Mock Trial program and was a member of both the 2021 and 2022 American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition. In addition, Andrew received the Sherod H. Eadon Scholarship Award for academic excellence, integrity, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

During his time at the University of South Carolina, Andrew clerked for Goings Law Firm beginning in 2020, where he remained throughout the duration of his time as a law student. Upon graduation in December 2022, Andrew passed the South Carolina Bar exam in February 2023 and decided to return to working alongside his father, Karl, as an attorney with Brown and Brehmer.

Andrew’s wife, Hayley, is also a Dutch Fork High School and Wofford College alumnus. Following their time at Wofford, she went on to attend Wake Forest University School of Business, where she received her Master of Science in Management degree. The two have been together since their senior year of high school. In his spare time, you can find Andrew spending time with his wife and their two animals, his family, hunting, or working in the yard.
